Draper Expert Compound Aviation Shears

Description

The Draper Expert Compound Aviation Shears are straight-cut aviation snips engineered for precision metal cutting in HVAC installation, roofing, and sheet metal fabrication. Featuring chrome molybdenum steel compound action blades, these professional-grade shears deliver increased leverage for effortless cutting through mild steel up to 1.2mm, aluminium up to 1.5mm, and stainless steel up to 0.8mm thickness. The jaws are forged from premium chrome molybdenum alloy steel, correctly hardened and tempered to HRC 60-62 for exceptional durability and edge retention. Serrated blade edges provide extra grip on slippery materials, preventing material slippage during cutting operations. The compound action mechanism significantly reduces hand fatigue during repetitive cutting tasks, making these shears ideal for contractors working on extended projects. Spring-loaded handles with moulded vinyl grips and integrated slip guards ensure comfortable, secure operation throughout the workday. The handles feature a black oxide finish with a chrome-plated safety catch for convenient storage and transportation. The shot blast finish on the blades provides corrosion resistance whilst maintaining professional appearance, making these aviation shears a reliable choice for demanding trade applications.
